Investing in your future

Posted Mar 18th, 2013 in News, Sifu George Picard Blog

Its tax season, everyone is trying to maximize their savings so in retirement they will have the best possible lifestyle. The fact is, the average person will spend the last 10 years of their life sick with disease. 50% of us will develop cancer, 50% heart disease, and 33% diabetes. Not great odds. We spend all are working years investing for retirement then we are too sick to enjoy it.

Now, we have an opportunity to invest in ourselves so we can have an active productive lifestyle. Personally I would rather be broke and healthy than rich and sick. Of course healthy and financially independent is the goal.

So, how much should I invest in my future health? Well, the formula is 10% of your income for savings. Why not use the same formula for your future health and well being. Let’s say you work a 35 hour week, 3.5 hours per week 10% should be spent on your future self. That averages 30 minutes a day.

Now the question becomes what to do? You are on a QiGong/Tai Chi website so you know what I am recommending! I would start with 24 Posture Therapeutic QiGong for many reasons. The main reason, it is a proven system of health and healing. This system works on all levels of the human, the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It is easy to do and you can do it anywhere.

Don’t wait until your health suffers to take action. Start right away and skip the suffering part. Having made that statement, if you are currently experiencing any form of illness, it is time for you to take your life back. If you were to improve your health, when would be the best time to start.

That’s it for now. All comments are welcome and may be the subject of future blogs.

Thank you,
Sifu George Picard.

I am a teacher of qigong for senior women in Sydenham, Ontario. I have personally witnessed all of my students (from 55 to 83) taking their health back...reduction in medications, improved balance, reduction of pain, avoidance of surgery and an improved overall feeling of well being along with an improved zest for life. 24 Posture Qigong works!. I also teach a qigong class for disabled adults. Today a woman with severe cerebral palsy who uses a walker and a computer for speaking, suddenly stood up from her chair (totally unassisted) and began kicking her legs! She had a smile on her face the size of the moon and it was at that moment, I truly knew in my soul, the power of qigong to heal the body.

I hope everyone sees this commercial and makes a conscious decision to participate in their own well-being. I am a student of Sifu Picard's and also an instructor in Erie, Pennsylvania. The teachings offered following the Wu Yi Jie He system are truly a gift. The results speak for themselves. I am grateful for having the opportunity to share Qi Gong and Tai Chi and watch the difference it makes in someone's life.

This is a pretty convincing argument for anyone who has never done Qi Gong before to give it a try.
